Learn my tried and tested techniques.
I'm so excited to share with you the skills I've been developing over the last 3 years. My interest in photo collage stemmed from some nature photographs I took in early 2022 and a desire I had to incorporate them somehow into my abstract paintings. Since then I've created a whole body of work using elements of photocollage.
Photographic collage has now become one of my favourite art techniques, I have learnt so much through research, taking courses and trial and error.
In this course I will guide you through the best ways I've found to find link photography and painting together. I also share with you ways to make your work unique by suggesting themes for you to explore and make your work more personal to you.

FAQ'S
What printer do I need?
You need an inkjet printer that accepts black pigment ink.
I don't know if my printer's ink cartridge is water based or pigment?
It's only the black that needs to be pigment based, check with your supplier, or google the make and model number. Alternatively, email me and I'll find out for you.
How long do I have access to the course?
You have lifetime access and for as long as this course is on teachable. Everything is downloadable for you to keep. Should I leave teachable in the future, I will email you with plenty of time to download all the content.
Do you provide feedback or support?
Yes, there is a feedback module which I read every Friday for the first six weeks.. I will answer any individual questions there. You can also post images of your progress for myself and others to see.
Do you have a materials list?
On enrolment, you will receive instant access to the course including a detailed materials list, with links to buy.
Are the materials difficult to get hold of?
No, unlike some other image transfer and collage methods, the materials are easy to find and fairly inexpensive. I have recommended suppliers in the UK and for teabag paper, in the US.
How many videos are on this course?
Most of the videos are short, however there are extended ones that show a start to finish project. In total, there are over 1 hour 20 minutes worth of videos, supported with written instructions and. guidance.

"I took the course as I wanted a creative ‘pick me up’ after a very busy summer. As an interdisciplinary artist, I am always seeking ways to integrate the various strands of my practice, and this course was the perfect opportunity to learn ways of incorporating my many photos into my paintings.
The course was very clearly presented, with lots of demos and clear instructions. It gave me everything I needed to get started immediately. Over the space of just a few weeks I created a whole body of work, applying what I had learned. I can really recommend the course … I have been very inspired!"
