Photographic

Collage Techniques-

Creating Veiled Images.

REGISTRATION closes 22nd November.

Learn how to create beautiful, veiled, photographic images within your mixed media artwork.

This technique will provide you with endless possibilities in your mixed media projects.

In this course, you will learn a range of skills from taking simple photographs appropriate for collage, to how to print them onto fine papers on your home inkjet printer. You need a printer that accepts black pigment based ink cartridges, please check with your supplier.

We will also investigate ways to adhere the collage and embed the imagery into your mixed media work. This is a delicate process that can add narrative and intrigue to your work.

This course is self paced but six weeks is a good time in which to digest it fully.

This self-paced course includes:

Pre recorded videos of content together with written instructions across 5 modules.

Simple, clear instructions with sections on acrylic and oil and cold wax.

Full list of materials and links on where to buy.

A space to share your work and engage with others on the course.

'Feedback Friday' where I give personal, written feedback for the first six weeks of the course.

Ideas for future projects to make your work more personal.

Bonus lesson on image transfer.

Clear to follow guidance yet inviting you to explore your own ideas.

Learn my tried and tested techniques.

I'm so excited to share with you the skills I've been developing over the last 2 years. My interest in photo collage stemmed from some nature photographs I took in early 2022 and a desire I had to incorporate them somehow into my abstract paintings.

Photographic collage has now become one of my favourite art techniques and over the past year particularly, I have learnt so much through research, taking courses and trial and error!

In this course I will guide you through the best ways I've found to find link photography and painting together. I also share with you ways to make your work unique by suggesting themes for you to explore and make your work more personal to you.
